I thought that one of the arguments for why Muskegon is so superior to Grand Rapids (hockey wise I mean) is that they pull in such fabulous attendance numbers. Isn't that true?
I just saw the current attendance numbers for both teams and while Muskegon averages just over 3,000 pergame (I think it was like 3,016) Grand Rapids this season has averaged 6,658 through 38 games this season. I believe that's an increase from last year.
Thought this was interesting. Sure, this is tickets purchased, not necessarily seats sat in, but aren't all arenas attendances that way???

Those numbers look right to me, crazy. But if you do the math, you'll find that both come out just over 60% capacity. 61.2 for GR, 60.3 for Muskegon. But give credit where it is due, the Fury do have 4 UHL championship banners in the rafters.
