Yup, on his way to being a SoundTiger. That's too bad for him. With the return of Simon I guess this isn't a huge surprise. I just hope he doesn't go into a funk and not give 100% in Bridgeport.

Maybe it will be a "wake up" call for him.

Maybe it will be a "wake up" call for him. How's that? Booter was only expected to be on the roster for the first 5 games of the season, until Chris Simon was back and the coaches decided to keep him up longer. If I recall, he only had one penalty in his games, so he wasn't playing stupid, sloppy hockey and he had an assist. I don't think his being put on waivers is a message being sent. He just needs to keep on keepin' on.

Like I said, a wake-up call. Maybe he'll understand if he plays smart, keeping away from brain-dead penalties, he just may, I repeat, may, get to hang around as a 3rd or 4th liner for a year or two. Then he can go back to chasing skirts.

Bootland wore out his welcome long before this season.
One year would have been enough for a cocky, mediocre skater.

LMAO Inspector.....That is too funny....ROFLMAO........I just don't get this people who think Booter is the greatest player on the face of the earth Darryl is far from the greatest player on the face of the earth - but he is a gosh darn good one, if not, he would never have been signed the Red Wings, re-signed twice, and called up for more than a handful of games. The Islanders could have sent him down sooner, but didn't, and I believe he'll be spending more time with the Islanders as the season progresses. As far as for being a skirt chaser, if hockey players couldn't chase skirts I think there would be a whole less players out there to entertain us night in and night out. "Drewscheersection" - perhaps you aren't the best person to comment on others who think a player is "the greatest player on the face of the earth." You know what they say, "those who live in glass houses..." Today that poor back up goalie was being HARASSED by a supposed Griffin fan, because he was wearing the #1. BELLOWING to him that he needs to prove his worth and then after letting a goal in that he needed to change jerseys. PLEASE! We'll probably not see this goalie again this season and he wasn't taking the ice in the best of circumstances... I doubt he was wearing the #1 to spite the all-mighty Drew. You won't find anyone screaming such things at Keefe, then again, no one wants to get a punch to the face.

Crazy- Weren't you the one complaining that Corazzini was wearing #27 up at Red Wings Training Camp??
It shouldn't matter what number someone is wearing, it's about how he plays the game and his personality!! No one should be forced to NOT wear a number because you don't want to see someone else wear your favorite player's number. Almost everyone on this team has a different number than last year.........you need to support them based on the Griffin logo on the front not the number on the back! They are a TEAM!!!!

The Ladies - No, you are misrecalling the posts. I posted that Corazzini was being teased by people about what wearing the #27 in GR entailed... it was funny, but nothing serious.

Crazy- I don't think that I am misrecalling the posts....you stated that you overheard people telling him what the former #27 was like here in GR. Was he laughing while people were teasing him?? Personally I don't think it is funny.....it's RUDE!!! What a way to welcome a new player to GR....the first thing you do is criticize the number that he is wearing. Do you know why he chose that number? Maybe he has a specific reason for wearing that number, like many players do! You should get to know a player and his personality. Each player is an individual and should NEVER be judged based on the previous player's personality that wore that number. As far as I know, the only number that cannot be worn by a Griffin is 24, do you something that we don't?? Please fill us in if you do!

He himself said that would be big shoes to fill. none of the STH's that were there were being rude as you say. so if you wernt there you really have nothing to say about the issue. some of the things that were discussed was throwing pucks to kids, posing for the camera's, & being a fan favorite.

Thanks triple. I found the post, I thought i'd re-post it. As triple said, the contents were all silly things that Darryl was "known for" - throwing pucks, posing for cameras, fighting, etc. When Corazzini asked who the previous #27 was and was informed Booter his reaction was a chuckle followed by, "does that mean I need to start fighting now?" I am sure no offense was taken. On a side note, this year's #27 socialized with a few STH in TC yesterday. He was advised to reconsider taking the number. He was also informed of all of the duties intailed by taking that number: flirting with female fans, throwing pucks to kids, posing for all the cameras, fighting, taking stupid penalties at crucial points in the game, and perhaps most important, capturing the hearts of all the fans at Van Andel. It was quite an amusing conversation to witness. theladies - You did recall correctly I OVERHEARD the teasing. I did not take part. Nothing in that exchange was even mildly inappropriate, rude, etc. however if it were, how am I to blame for the conversation of others? Secondly, if I were the one talking, I wouldn't be criticizing anything about the former 27... realistically, there are only two Griffins past or present that anyone will hear me speak negatively of... I make no bones about it (most of you probably know who they are). If you knew me at all you'd know that I always stick behind the boys, in good times or in bad, some people even see that as my fault.

Bootland wore out his welcome long before this season? Interesting and Not true, I, for one, would welcome him back tomorrow, if he was in a Griffins uni. If there were fans harassing Rudkowski (sp?) over his number then shame on them. And I can just imagine who the culprit was. Considering the way everyone played Sunday in front of the goalies I thought he accounted for himself rather well.
