Saw Ryan in Muskegon last night. He's wearing #52 for the FURY and still is able to swing a pretty good right hand - saw him knock a General down and out with ONE punch!! I think he'd do better than Norton for us, because he can skate (a little), and he can at least pass the puck BUT, I was confused about something. During the announcement of lineups, the Fury announced INSANA as a scratch - is he, or isn't he a GRIFFIN I saw him at the arena last night in street clothes - and I know he didn't play for GR vs. Peoria Tuesday - WHAT'S UP? If we aren't going to play him - let him play for the team in Muskegon - it is an affiliation, isn't it ;D

I saw Insana in suit at the Van on Tuesday. I thought that he was on loan until Syvret is back...I would have thought him being in Muskegon would have been to support. But... if he was at Muskegon's game last night he couldn't have made our road trip, could he have??
And on the Barnes front... he had several good scoring chances against K-zoo last Friday. Playing well.

Let's see, at last count, I believe that Insana has played in 14 games or so for the Griffs - lots more than his being just a replacement for Syvret -

Personally, I'd rather see Insana sent down. I dont think he's very good, and I'm sure in Muskegon, he is loved.
As for Barnes, I've always liked him. I would definately like to see him up here more than Norton, and maybe some of the other "veterans" on our team.

I always liked Ryan Barnes. I'd love to see him back in GR.

Let's see, at last count, I believe that Insana has played in 14 games or so for the Griffs - lots more than his being just a replacement for Syvret - Jack - he started here, then went back to Muskegon (I believe when Norton came here), then came back to GR with Meech being in Detroit... then Syvret left. I do believe that once Syvret is back (and Norton, Smith, Quincey, Meech, Ericsson, and Galvin are healthy) Insana will go back to Muskegon (currently Insana is on our roster and Syvret is not... once Syvret is back we don't need 8 d-men).
