The Storm beat Wheeling 3-2 tonight at home in the final game of the series, Drew was in net for Toledo.
They'll advance to face Gwinnett in the Conference finals.
Wheeling is the affiliate of WBS/Pittsburg
Gwinett is the affiliate of the Wolves/Atlanta.

Well, unless GR changes their mind about keeping Drew, we'll be heading up for Friday's and Saturday's games. So we'll see you there if you go!

Congrats to them. Nice job coming back from a 2-1 deficit. Shows some real playoff grit.

Hey, I got an idea. How 'bout the Wings send Legace to GR for some playoff experience. If he doesn't clear waivers our problem is solved, and if he does clear waivers he can chart faceoffs behind Howard.
(I know they can't send him down, I was just supposing.)

Well we do need a back up goalie and with how Drew played in the Toronto series he does deserve to be here. However I can't imagine how hard it is on your team Linz. I wish you all the best in your playoffs and congrats on how far you've gotten.

Well, right now you have three goalies, unless I missed where Alfie was released. So you have an 'abundance' of back up goalies (good ones, at that).
Even though the Storm lost Friday night, they played very well. It'd be nice if we could have two healthy goaltenders, but I guess that doesn't matter to anyone else besides us.
I'll keep my fingers crossed and pray that the news I heard tonight will happen.

A goalie that hasn't played a game with us all year is hardly considered to be an abundance. The only reason we had alfie was because Jimmy got called up to Detroit and Joey wasn't well enough to play yet. On a positive note, Joey's skating so hopefully that means we can get him back soon; even if he's only sitting on the bench.
Linz we can relate, it would be nice to have Joey healthy since he's the one with playoff experience but Detroit didn't hesitate to take our best goalie during the playoffs. It happens, sadly it's the part of affliation we all hate.

It happens, sadly it's the part of affliation we all hate. It's the part of the affiliation I love the most. I love seeing "our guys" called up and playing in Big D. I'm watching the tube and my kids say, "Isn't he a Griffin?". That's my favorite part of the affiliation. Playoff timing is tough, but I still appreciate the pecking order and prefer Stanley Cups before Calder Cups. Sorry, that's just me. But, thanks to Edmonton, it's all a moot point now.

Another thing I love about the affiliation is when the brass comes to town. Like Scotty, Ken Holland and Babcock on Saturday. Too bad that had to mean the big team is already golfing.

What reason do you have for not liking Greg? He's a wonderful coach and he's taking this team places considering where they finished last year. His hands are tied. If Howard is there he has to play Jimmy, Detroit tells him to and with the brass there watching our games because they are interested in the progress of our players, there isn't much he can do. When Jimmy got called up he played Drew because that's the hot goalie we had. Michaud might be a good goalie BUT Toronto would have eaten him alive.
