A quick peek at the standings shows the Central Division in the Western Conference, record-wise, is the strongest.
A short season ago, whoooda thunk it???
It's good to see Chicago much improved---- they deserve it.

It's good to see Chicago much improved---- they deserve it. Yeah, but not at the expense of the Wings, flippin' Blackhawks. I used to hate them more than anyone, and then there was the Claude Lemieux incident. But they are about to elbow Colorado out for top spot on the "teams I hate" list. But you're right. It's great that the Central is kicking crack. Who'd a thought a year ago that Nashville would be the red-headed step child. St. Louis could be something to contend with and Hitchcock has the BJ's on the rise. The Wings will now have to work extra hard for those 64 points.

As it should be - it'll make them a better team overall. It's about time that the teams we play "all" the time can give us some enjoyable hockey to watch. The RW's will split the season series with Chicago

No argument there, jack. Competitive hockey is always more exciting to watch. And you're right, it will force the Wings to up their game to compete.
Let's face it, it's not really a rivalry if the same team wins everytime. So having much improved Hawks and Blues this year will certainly make for more enjoyable hockey. Heck, even Columbus can play the game this year.
And I hope you're right about the Wings splitting the series and winning the last four. But your smiley face (frowney face) makes me ask, are you or were you a Hawks fan? (They've still got the best sweaters.)

Actually, I agree on their jerseys - they are one of the BEST, and yes, I'm a fan of theirs EXCEPT when they play the RW's My smiley face was supposed to be one of "embarassment" for the RW's only having the chance to split the season series. Sorry for the confusion -

My smiley face was supposed to be one of "embarassment" for the RW's only having the chance to split the season series. Sorry for the confusion - Oh, geez, I'M sorry for my confusion. I read the smiley wrong. My next prescription is a leader dog.
