I am Dave. my nickname is "sjradio" SJ- the town here in Michigan where I live. RADIO - my chosen profession. I've been a fan for a while, 6th season with season tickets. Favorite all time player..... Either John Emmons or Kieth Aldridge, Favorite Coach... Guy Charron. I'm the first one to bring those portable goal lights into Van Andel. The guy from the zone asked me about them, and then they had then a month later at the Zone. I've got the only other Griffins web site other than the official one at www.ahlgriffins.com The site is in it's 6th season It started out as "The IHL in Michigan" equally devoted to the Griffins, Vipers, and K-Wings., well you know what happened to the K-Things and Vipers so the site continued just focused on the Griffins. I also designed and host the Griffins booster club site (just to the end of the season). I drive about 170 miles total to and from Grand Rapids for every Griffins game. I've only missed two games this season (1 weather, 2 I had to work a volleyball tournament). The license plate on my car says AHL GRG

I'm Trisha, have had season tickets for 3 years been going to games for about 5 years, favorite player would be Drew, My son has a Drew Jersey & when he seen it he said WOW that is the first Jersey with my name on it, He personalized it for my son & has been very good to him since, he has gone to his hockey practice's given him a few pointers, & his goalie sticks. He also hung out with him at TC when he had a chance. I guess I would say he is my son's favorite player also.

awwwww, thats soooo sweet Triple. It's nice when the players are good to your kids. I know Booter, Hudler and Richards have all treated my kids really well and seem to enjoy the kids at the games.

Darryl is just awesome with kids. So are MacIntyre and Ellis. Just really nice guys all around and it's that much better when they are nice to the kids because unlike some adults kids only have the best intensions when getting autographs and meeting the players.

Hudler loves kids, period. I never see him at banquets without one of his teammates kids in tow.
Richards is great, when I was 6th grade, I was doing a project of some sort (forgot what it was, lol) but I originally asked Darcy Simon if he could come in and talk to my class, but he couldn't make it, so then I asked Richie, and sure enough, after about 20 times of playing phone tag and a dozen or more phone calls, he came and talked to my class. I'd have to say his son Riley was about 2 or 3 at this time.

Well I have desided if you can't beat them then join them...so here I am. My name is Tina and I have a hockey group page on Yahoo! We have 30+ members but only 5 or 6 members do any of the talking. I am 40 yrs young and have grown up watching and learning the sport of hockey. My favorite players are Travis Richards, Nate Robinson and Greg Amadio. NHL that has to be Chris Chilios and Brett Lebna. The team I love to hate: any team from Chicago...lol.

We have both been STH since the beginning of the Grand Rapids Griffins. We have both been active with the GRG Booster Club from day one with the following: "Fans And Friends On The Road Again: & Limited Abilities. Since 1998 We have both attended Hockey Booster Club Conventions from the: 1. International Hockey League Booster Clubs (IHL)- NOW - Hockey Booster Clubs of America 2. American Hockey League Booster Clubs (AHLBC) 3. AHL - All Star Classics. During our "many trips" we have made many long-lasting hockey friends and fans.
We have always posted under the name of Bob Whitefoot---maybe we can get it back again with this new board. We will try to change back ---maybe it needs to read: bobwhitefoot.

I enjoy both the RW's and the GRIFFS - I've been to at least 10 games at the Joe this season , (ALL the NASHVILLE games - My favorite GRIFFS are ELLIS, McDONELL, DICASMIRRO and this year QUINCEY - I guess I'll be one of the "gray hairs" too - 58 and counting - Looking forward to some lively discussions

Hello everyone. My name is Ken and I use the screen name of samson for every board I'm registered at. I like to see what other hockey fans have to say about what's going on in the world of hockey and other topics. I also like meeting new people. I was registered at the old Griffins board but I don't think I posted anything. I do visit the AHLBoards2 and AHL Underground quite a bit. I'm located in Moose country (Winnipeg) but my team of choice is the Omaha Ak-Sar-Ben Knights. My wife cheers for the Red Wings and my oldest son has a Red Wings jersey. Looking forward to meeting talking with everyone here. ;D

Hey, welcome samson. Glad to see the Red Wing allegiance there. But I gotta ask, why do you favor the Knights over the Moose? Just curious, because I've always thought the Moose was a class organization.
